Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Linda Kyrnitszke

Candidate for
Board Member; San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District; Area 2

This information is provided by the candidate

Our school district is at a critical crossroads. With declining enrollment and the loss of State funding that implies, with the loss of great teachers and administrators to higher paying jobs, we need to make some decisions about how best to react. And we need to do it as a community!

We are not the richest school district in the nation, but we must be one of the most creative! Let's use our collective creativity to keep our great teachers and students from leaving our district. It's time to make in-depth studies into reasons why people leave, think of alternative sources of funding, and to do it by open communication between the School Board and the people in the Valley.

We have great teachers, wonderful students, a caring school staff, and supportive voters. We must act responsibly over the next few years or we will lose these great people. They deserve the best representation we can get on the School Board so we can get our buildings repaired, as already approved by the voters, and press forward to an even higher level of educational excellence.
