Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Gregory J. "Greg" Tate

Candidate for
Board Member; Sacramento City Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate

My philosophy in regards to the Sacramento City Unified School District, is to focus on the major issues which include, but are not limited to: Pay Raises for Teachers, Improving the Curriculum of the District, and Improved Security for all teachers and students in the district.

I personally believe that the best way to tackle these issues is to open the discussion up to the "experts." When I say experts, I am referring to the teachers, and the educators that are currently in the district, and who are "in the field" dealing with these very issues on a daily basis. I do not agree with the idea that these issues can affectively be resolved by individuals who only meet twice a month, and never really see the "reality" of day to day life in the district. I would encourage and require imput from teachers and parents on how to best resolve all issues and at the same time, best serve the most students, parents, and teachers.

"TEACHERS, PARENTS, AND STUDENTS ARE OUR GREATEST RESOURCE WHEN DEALING WITH ISSUES EFFECTING THIS DISTRICT."
