Quality Education

By Joseph W. "Joe" Androlowicz

Candidate for Board Member; Dry Creek Joint School District

This information is provided by the candidate
Better training, better pay and accountability for teachers
My first priority as a school board member is the quality education of all of our children. To achieve this I will work hard to recognize and help to provide a better environment for our teachers. I truly believe our teachers are underpaid and do not receive the credit for our children receiving a quality education.

I also will require accountability on the administration and teaching staffs. Our teachers need more input into the day to day curriculums and texts being utilized in our school system. Teachers need a fund to draw on for reimbursement of the monies they spend for incidentals in their day to day profession. I.e. Decorations, pencils, pens Paper they spend on behalf of their students.

Both my daughter and his wife are teachers currently and I know of the daily stress teachers must endure. It is great to say our children must have the best education that we can afford. I agree but not all the money in the world in a classroom can produce a thing unless we have well paid motivated, dedicated teachers. I also believe that if elected I will with out partiality listen to a teacher's complaint in the strictest confidentiality against administrative abuses, and try to help solve the problem.
