Over the years I have been ENCOURAGED to run for City Council by former Mayor Richard Riordan, City Controller Laura Chick, and Councilman Dennis Zine as I have served under all of them on volunteer committees. Due to their positions with the City of Los Angeles, I have not asked them for any endorsements.

Barry,
If I lived in that voting district, you would most definitely have my vote,
especially after reading your views on the business revenue tax, and your
views on gun control.
I always thought I was the only one who believed in both gun registration
and the Second Amendment.
Unfortunately, both the Gun Control Lobby and the NRA would have you believe
that the two are mutually exclusive.
I also support the move for secession from the City of Los Angeles.
Anything that can dstance San Fernando from L.A. is bound to be beneficial
for the residents of that area.
On a more personal note, I believe that you would make an excellent
councilmember because your cool and collected persona
would lend an eagle-eye view of the "big picture", so often lost in the rush
to "play the game" of politics. You do not behave as a career politician,
but rather, as a citizen advocate, and a guardian of the American Dream.

You've got my vote, mister.
