Emily has a deep and broad educational, work and school district background:

· Degrees: BA, University of Chicago; Master's in Public Administration, the Maxwell School # Syracuse University; Master's in Economics, Oxford University · Experience: senior management experience in economics, strategic planning and organizational development. Strong background in public and private administration with international development organizations and The Los Angeles Times, and at non-profits (The Children's Partnership, Urban Tech) pursuing fair technology access for all youth. · District: School District's Strategic Planning Design Team: co-led development of community based strategic plan, and member of the following working groups: Universal Preschool, differentiated Instruction, Equity and Equality of Opportunity · Schools: PTA Executive Board, African-American Family Support Group, Elected Member of Site Governance Council, Chair of Science Explorers Fair, classroom volunteer for 4 years.
