DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR, CENTRAL CALIFORNIA LEGAL SERVICES (Jan '99 - Present)

• Member of management team; research funding sources; write grant proposals

• Access to Justice Coalition, staff support; Chair EOC Rural Cities Collaborative in Director's absence

• Responsible for day to day operations of non-profit job training and placement agency; oversee contracting, procurement and program management functions; ensure compliance with Dept. of Labor and State policies/procedures

• Work with Chief Executive Officer and board to provide direction and policy guidance to agency staff, supervise staff in developing policy and program design recommendations for board approval

• Interview clients, assess legal issues and provide advocacy services, represent clients at legislative forums and administrative hearings

• Supervise program development / implementation and all staff

• Manage finances, prepare budget, negotiate contracts with funding sources

• Develop personnel policies and community educational materials

• Advocate for Centro clients before administrative agencies, City Council, Board of Supervisors

• Work with Board of Directors re long term planning, fundraising and public relations

• Provide staff support for Southeast Fresno Concerned Citizens, a community organization focused on neighborhood cleanup, improvements, public safety
