  • Kings River Water Association's past chairman. The KRWA administers the water rights for the cities of Fresno and Clovis and the surrounding ag areas.
  • Graduate of Fresno State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture.
  • I am a third generation farmer. My father immigrated from Denmark in 1906.
Priorities:
  • I will continue to support sound fiscal policy. The Board has not increased constituents taxes for the last 9 years.
  • I support open communication with constituents. I supported the Enterprise-Holland Canal Walkway, the Community of Trails Coalition and Tree Fresno.
  • I support increasing groundwater recharge. Board policies have resulted in dramatic increases in groundwater recharge in our cities and county.

  • BA from Fresno State in Economics with honors
  • Involved in Business financial management for over 25 years
  • Family came to Fresno County in 1920
  • Grandfather head of USDA dry fruit insect control for 20 years as an Entomologist

Priorities:
  • Make the FID a customer driven group, responsive and open
  • Work with all customers to identify their priorities changing FID to become their partner not their obstacle
  • Find ways to modernize and streamline adminstrative functions to save resources that could be used to hold down water rates in these times of crisis
