Questions & Answers

1. If you are elected, what programs would you propose or support to serve at-risk youth who may end up in the juvenile justice system?

Alameda has many private organizations which help at-risk youth; however, the one I support the most is our own Recreation and Park Department which has a broad variety of well-run programs. The after school programs are particularly important for at-risk youth. The Police Department's DARE program is another City of Alameda program which is very effective.
