My philosophy starts with a quote I saw once and it says,

"Youth may only be 25% of our population, but they are 100% of our future."

I have always believed in investing in the future. Therefore, my life revolves around investing time, energy and commitment to the youth of our community. I pride myself on being accessible to students, parents, teachers, classified employees, and the public. I believe that in order to be a good leader, one must be willing to step in and work alongside others to see, first hand, what their plight might be. I have, over the years, volunteered in the classroom, in the offices of our schools, as a reading tutor, in the kitchen, cooking or washing dishes, and around campuses cleaning. I believe that it takes everyone to make our District work well. There is no one person or position that is more important than the other.

My involvement with Ventura Unified started 20 years ago and will continue regardless of the outcome of the pending election. Children are my passion and I will always be involved.
