I was born in 1958 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, but moved to Southern California three weeks later where I have lived most all of my life.

I attended schools in La Habra while growing up. I enrolled in Brigham Young University undergraduate courses in 1977. Following my freshman year I served on a church mission for two years in Ireland. I then returned to attend the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, graduating in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications. In 1998 I received my Juris Doctorate degree from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law, many of my courses having been completed at night school while I held a full time job. While at law school I receive honorable mention in the 1996 Moot Court competition and served on the 1997 Moot Court Board of Governors.

After graduating from the University of Utah, I assisted my family in several small business ventures. Then in 1987 I joined my present employer, Continental Airlines, where I have held various management and supervisory positions until the present time. During my tenure at Continental I have been involved in airline-related federal government issues. For example, I successfully assisted in lobbying Congress to ensure that Continental Airlines and Eastern Airlines did not merge. This effort played a part in saving thousands of jobs for Continental employees. I have been given numerous awards and bonuses related to perfect job attendance. I have also received Continental management recognition on other occasions.

In 1990 I met a beautiful Continental employee named Suzie Dyer. When we first met, I was sure she would eventually become my wife. I was thoroughly impressed when I witnessed her contribution to society by being a Deaconess/Caregiver with a local church. We married in 1992. Suzie is a wonderful and caring wife and mother. Suzie also finds time to appear in many local and regional commercials. We are blessed to have a two year-old toddler named London. We love him deeply and thank God daily for him and all the other blessings God has given us.
