By John D. Nelson

Candidate for Director; Windsor Fire Protection District

This information is provided by the candidate
The Windsor Fire Protection District has been extremely responsive to demands for service generated by the development that has occurred in recent years. The addition of full time personnel, the new fire station, new equipment, training programs, etc., are significant achievements. I admire the District's accomplishments, and I would like to work to ensure that the District continues to provide our community with quality fire protection service.

I am a 28 year resident of Sonoma County, and have lived in Windsor for the past 13 years. My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Sonoma State University. For the last 20 years, I have worked in the commercial insurance business, where my management responsibilities include staff supervision and development and execution of an annual budget in excess of $2,000,000. As a resident of Windsor, I have volunteered my time doing photography for numerous civic organizations, including the Boys & Girls Club and the Windsor Fire District.

I believe my education, professional career, and community involvement all combine to provide the qualifications necessary for me to serve on the Board of Directors for the Windsor Fire Protection District. I would appreciate your support in this election. Thank you.
