I want to continue the work started during my first term as a member of the Pacifica City Council. With your support we can continue to "Get Things Done." Together we can make Pacifica an even better place to live and retain our unique environment.

The affairs of Pacifica must be approached with a mature attitude of cooperation, working together with all community groups to find ways of "getting things done."

I have a thorough understanding of City Government, the Budget process, the operation of the City, and I listen to what people say!

Pacifica is creating a visitor serving economic base compatible with our scenic environment. These projects will require mature, considered and experienced thinking to be completed successfully. They will improve funding to the level needed to avoid losing experienced emergency service personnel to other jurisdictions in this highly competitive labor market. We will be able to improve and replace our deteriorating infrastructure, and provide services that will preserve our quality of life. Without this new revenue Pacifica may have to reduce funding for discretionary programs that are available privately.

I have supported the Library reorganization with the Satellite concept and served on the Laguna Salada School District Facilities Bond Review Committee. As Pacifica's representative on the City/County Association of Governments, which is the agency that allocates state and federal money in San Mateo County, I worked to get funding for Pacifica projects. I serve on the Traffic Congestion Relief "Alliance," an agency devoted to developing alternatives to the single occupancy commute vehicle.

I am very pleased to be on the board of the Joint Powers Agency during the development of the paramedic program in San Mateo County that put a Paramedic on all first response in Fire Engines.

I served as chair of the Committee for the Waste Water Treatment Plant during design and development. After nine years of arduous work by the City Staff and the Community, the Plant is now in start up operations.

I have proposed that the new Cable Franchise Agreement require a cable upgrade to meet modern communication needs and recommended City Staff start updating Pacifica's General Plan Elements.

With your support we can continue to "Get Things Done." Together we can make Pacifica an even better served place to live and retain our unique environment. I ask you for your vote!
