My husband Les and I have enjoyed living in Los Osos since 1977. We moved to Los Osos because we could afford it and we have stayed because of our love for the natural beauty of the area and the wonderful "can-do" spirit of the community in which we found ourselves living.

I have a strong technical background with a BS and MS in Biology and work experience as a research biologist, educator, and statistical/database consultant for environmental studies. I have been employed by the Biological Sciences Department at Cal Poly since 1980 where I work to incorporate the latest computer technology into the department's teaching and research programs.

The past two years have been full of challenges for the newly formed Los Osos CSD Board but I have found my term of service as CSD President to be very rewarding. At the same time that we were creating the structure to allow us to take over the operation of existing local services we took on the complicated wastewater project. We have worked hard to balance cost, community values, and regulatory requirements to find an appropriate and affordable solution. We have formed citizen advisory committees to address drainage, parks, recreation, emergency services, budget and finance issues, operation of the Baywood Water Company, and environmental review. We have accomplished a lot, but we are not done, and I would like the opportunity to finish what I started.
