MORE MONEY & CONTROL MUST BE CHANNELED TO THE SCHOOL SITES. The present Board and District Administration is using district funds (our taxes) to pay lobbyists and outside legal firms over apx. $25,000 per month.
The present Board and District Administration is using district funds (our taxes) to pay lobbyists and outside legal firms over apx. $25,000.00 per month - while our schools do not have the basic needed supplies, tools, textbooks, staff, maintenance and space. In the meantime, recently the Board gave enormous raises to the Superintendent and his Cabinet and made these raises retroactive! Our teachers had to fight for 2 years to get a raise. Our students don't have books to take home to use to study and do homework, yet we were all promised years ago when the lockers were removed, that there would be enough books so none of the students would have to carry HEAVY backpacks on their backs. 4 out of 5 present Board members and most of the Top District Administration think nothing of breaking their promises because they don't believe in true accountability, ie. books, bathrooms, air conditioning repairs, more classrooms, school pool repairs, etc. Linda Shull is the only present Board Member who always votes for the students & staff & school sites, and does not mislead the public.

To raise the pride, spirit, and morale of the students and school staff and raise the educational level of the students and their test scores, more money must be spent on the school sites, where it belongs. More control must be given to the local school sites, ie. more teacher input into district wide programs, more input from Principals over who is hired and placed on their campuses. More accountability must be instilled on TOP Management who make empty promises and are not doing their jobs. Then and only then will we have "Schools That Work!"
