Philosophy

I believe I am responsible to the public first and not special interest groups who give money to candidates. I have not taken any money in this race and do not plan to. I believe our people are the greatest asses and we must challenge them to strive for excellence. We need to give the them the tools they need, demand a high level of accountability for the use of resources, and let them do what they were trained to do. We must do more with less overhead cost. I do not believe that bigger for the sake of being big is the most efficient way to do things. I believe in long range planning and fiscal restraint. I believe in a very flat management structure with more control at the line level

Priorities

1) To provide the best possible community fire protection as the most reasonable cost. 2) To reestablish a prudent fiscal reserves and maintain strong fiscal restraint. 3) Maintain the level of current fire service and cut administrative position before line positions. 4) Restore leadership and eliminate unnecessary levels of management. 5) Protect the assets of the community from outside control or take over. 6) Invest in the employees who are and make the District. 7) Ensure that all citizens of the District are receiving equal treatment. No one paying for someone else fire service.
