BASICS FOR THE 21st CENTURY

By Gary Davis

Candidate for Governing Board Member; Natomas Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate
Our children deserve no less.
Everyone knows the next century will not be like the last, and that the tools which worked in the 1900's will not work in the year 2000 and beyond.

We need school board members who support preparing kids for college or career, and who know that the basics of yesteryear are just not the same basics for today. That's why it's important that we elect a board, which promotes "Basics for the 21st Century."

We need a school board, which will build upon the fundamental reading, writing, and arithmetic skills and incorporate them with skills for the future, such as computer skills, and technology and vocational training. These will help our kids succeed -- whether in college or career.
