STATEMENT OF CAROL KWAN

My name is Carol Kwan. I am proud of my accomplishments as your representative on the West Basin Board during the past four years. My accomplishments include:

Successfully increased district funding for water conservation education.

Produced West Basin's first Water Resource Guide.

Started the district's annual Water Harvest Festival to increase water awareness.

Created the "Water Squad" educational program for school children.

Chaired the water re-use committee of a major water organization to
make sure we use the most up-to-date reclamation technology.

My goals for the next four years will focus on drinking water quality and cost reduction. I will strive to keep West Basin's costs as low as possible and reduce the costs charged to you by our regional water wholesalers.

I believe we can guarantee safe, pure drinking water while protecting the environment and keeping costs low. Pure, healthful drinking water is your right. With my experience as your director and my background as an environmental and water quality consultant, I am confident we can accomplish these goals.
