Candidate's Ballot Statement

"In Putting Palmdale First," Sandy Corrales will restore pride and stability to our city council. Experience counts, and as a former City Planning Commissioner and Palmdale Chamber of Commerce President, she will serve as your voice at city hall.

Sandy will work hard for all working families to:

1. Secure a hospital on the eastside, as well as a 24-hour pharmacy
2. Get commuters off the freeway and into decent-paying jobs here in Palmdale
3. Enact term limits and campaign finance reform for city councilmembers
4. Support our sheriff's deputies and firefighters to provide a safe community
5. Serve as the city council liaison to the college/school districts; work to bring a 4-year university
6. Use her influence in Sacramento to establish a better relationship between the two cities
7. Protect homeoners' property rights; support the apartment moratorium
8. Let voters decide how to fill council vacancies
9. Review speed limits throughout the city.

As an independent candidate, Sandy has made sure her campaign is not controlled by special interests and powerbrokers. She will be accountable to only the voters after election day.

Sandy and her husband operate a graphic design/public relations firm and have been active in dozens of community organizations.
