I graduated high school in 1972. I worked as an office manager for a construction company. I moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, where I worked for Chinaview making sure the deposits, bill paid and purchases made for workers on the pipeline. I was there 18 months. When I came back to the Lower 48, I went back to school for a degree in office management. I worked as office manager for yatch broker, air-conditioning company, the largest uniform supplier in the United States for the next several years.

Arriving in California I went back to school to learn computers. Along with my office experience I began work for a company in Simi Valley which specialized in hard to find computer parts for NASA, Edwards AFB and Vandemburg AFB, just to name a few. They also worked with water purification. I handled negotiations and contracts for a supplying teachers to go to Poland to train the workers for their water purification system. I handled setting up a management plan for the water purification system. I also maintained a preventive maintenance plan, which included monthly maintnenance, parts needed and training for maintnenance.

I enjoyed this so much I began to build businesses. A client would come to me and tell me what kind of business they had and where they wanted to go with it. This required me doing research on the product, finding the proper place to have their business, hiring and training workers, marketing and analys of the marketing. It would usually take six months or more to have a company in full production. I would then stay another four to six months as a trouble shooter or until proper management was trained. This was a wonderful job. I dealt with many different products, people and marketing ideas. The down side to this was it is a very stressful job. I worked six to seven days a week, fourteen to sixteen hours a day.

When we moved to California City I decided I did not want to run on the fast track any more. I went back to school to become a paralegal. I work at my home. I like working with the elderly and the low income. I can choose who I work for and how many cases I take a month. I can let people make payments to me because many can not afford to go to an attorney. This is a great job with more benefits than money.
