Candidate for
Councilmember; City of Shafter

My name is Ronni Carroll and I'm a candidate for the city council.

I was born and raised in Shafter and attended Shafter Richland Elementary and Shafter High School, also West Coast Bible College and Federico's.

My husband Jim and I have two daughters, Ronda Martin, who with her husband Marty, lives in Shafter, and Teri Carroll, a Shafter resident also. Ronda and Marty have two children, Justin and Candy. Candy has two children, Shandy and Shae, my great grandchildren.

In 1988 I opened Glad Raggs Furniture. Jim and I have since then been owner operators keeping our business open seven days a week for customer convenience. I have experienced what it takes to be busy and continue to be involved in my community. I was secretary for the Downtown Business Board and regularly attended the Visions Project meetings. I have been president of the Shafter Chamber of Commerce for three years and on the board for five years. I am currently on the governmental board. I'm a member of the Kiwanis Club of Shafter, which is a worthwhile service club.
