To me the word openness means openness...100%!There is no good reason for secret sessions at any City Council meeting. The only reason Councils meet in closed session is to carefully orchestrate the way meetings before the public are to be done, or, to cover their tracks for misdeeds. I will have an end to all closed sessions. There is no reason that even negotiating sessions shouldn't be open either. After all, folks, this is all supposed to be Public Business. I want the Public to know everything your Council is doing. PERIOD. |
