Timeshare Problems

By Jerry Richard Oldenkamp

Candidate for Councilmember; City of South Lake Tahoe

This information is provided by the candidate
There is currently a moratorium on any new timeshare projects, that was adopted by the City Council, and it has no expiration date.
This raises the simple question of why is this moratorium being ignored in discussions with Marriott. We do not need to substitute possible hotel/motel space, with additional timeshare units. The TOT will suffer, and promises of off-setting property tax revenues are simply unfounded, and can't be trusted in this situation.
