Conservative Republican

I oppose the unfettered growth of government and encourage the growth of small business with as few governmental restrictions as necessary.

I believe we are falling behind in education because of overcrowding and the need for new construction or the lack of new construction, upgrade-renovation and maintenance.

I support an increase in police protection, enough so that officers on duty can respond to a Code 3 within seven minutes from anywhere in the county. This might require an additional sub station in the southern county.

I support closer alliances with the local Planning Advisory Councils to assure that growth does not encroach beyond "spheres of influence" without input and support from the citizens.

I support increased public transportation to relieve the ever increasing automobile traffic congestion. I support development that is close in to light rail or bus systems to alleviate the need for motor traffic. I support the need to be vigilant to seek out more appropriate transportation arterials and traffic patterns with longer hours of operation and extended routes for public transportation..

I encourage improvement of our air quality as it relates to industry and fossil particulates exhausted by motor traffic.

I believe that governments of present and future incorporated cities must be assured of cooperation from the county as it relates to contract services such as waste removal, police protection and water delivery.

I support the provision of resources to maintain a strong economy that will provide jobs.

I urge longer hours of operation for our libraries.
