Raised in Marin and a homeowner in Sausalito for the past 15 years, Toni Kendall is the new candidate for the Marin County Board of Supervisors. Toni is running to put an end to unwanted development throughout our county, and to finally find real solutions to our traffic problems - so we spend more time with our families and less time stuck on Hwy. 101.

Toni will also push for the toughest campaign finance laws in California - ending the influence of special interests and ensuring that Marin County is unmatched in open and honest government, and accountable only to the voters.

A former aide to Jerry Brown during his U.S. Senate and Oakland Mayoral campaigns, Toni Kendall has seen firsthand how local leaders with vision can shape and better the quality of our everyday lives. She'll bring this experience Board of Supervisors as it plans and leads Marin County into the 21st Century.

Taught the value of education early in her life by her parents, who were public school teachers in Marin, Toni has spent much of her career in adult education. Working for Landmark Education, Toni has traveled across the country leading education programs for adults, with thousands of graduates committed to creating positive results for their families and their communities.

As a Marin County Supervisor, Toni Kendall will tackle the issues that we care about most. She'll push to end development on virgin lands and freeze zoning to put an end to subdivisions throughout Marin. She'll also be a strong advocate to protect the Marin Baylands and will aggressively pursue federal, state and private funding to purchase open space in Marin.

Toni is committed to new, coordinated solutions to solve our traffic problems, including widening Highway 101, expanding commuter shuttle buses broadening ferry service, creating incentives for telecommuting and staggering work hours for county employees to limit rush hour traffic.

Toni Kendall will fight to place a $250 cap on all campaign contributions to local candidates and end contributions from PAC's and corporations. Toni will also push for spending limits in all county campaigns to dilute the influence of money in local government, and will sign a pledge to serve only 2 terms in office.

A member of the Sierra Club and other community organizations, Toni and her husband Doug live in Sausalito
