Political philosophy: I'm running for a second term because so much more needs to be done to improve our County. There will be at least two new Supervisors next year, and while change is sometimes good, our County also needs continuity, stability, and experience. We've made progress in areas like the Caruthers juvenile boot camp, which is being expanded to 200, and will soon hold 400 juvenile offenders, and we are committed to building three new floors for adult prisoners. We also, however, need to encourage sound growth planning, and create more and better jobs that families can live on. I've tried to deal with issues openly and fairly during these past three years. My decisions have been based on a careful study of the issues, and not for political reasons. I've tried to demonstrate leadership and maturity in conducting the public's business, and to treat all people with courtesy and respect. I've tried to do my best during my first term to represent our district, the heart of our City and County. While answers are not always easy to find, I'm prepared to work hard, and contribute as much as I can, to improve our community and better the lives of all our residents, young and old alike. I would be honored by your support.
