Alameda County, CA March 7, 2000 Election
Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Dan J. Scannell

Candidate for
Supervisor; County of Alameda; District 4

This information is provided by the candidate

I am a moderate independent voter who is frustrated at the county government's inability to identify and address our problems.

I decided that, rather than complain about the lack of competent leadership, I would run for office to fix problems related to lack of affordable housing, traffic, the Raiders deal, and revitalizing our community.

I've never run for office before. I am running on a solid platform - I've identified problems and am offering concrete solutions, including funding mechanisms.(These issues are detailed at http://www.politicalsolutions.net)

I am tired of politicians who use buzzwords and slogans, and do not offer political solutions. I think it is time for a positive change.
