Brief reason why I got involved and sharing of ideas and future plans.
Generally I entered this contest to promote more community involvement in our local Community Services District and to promote the idea of providing access to the disabled (Because lack of to drinking fountains at Veteran's Park). I honestly do not go to District meetings now because of the lack of a restroom I can use, so that puts me in a spot which sometimes it matters and other times it doesn't. I believe the Community Services District Broad, has stifled community members from participating because of personal feelings towards others making the presentation and sometimes the initiative to take a chance. I know that in order to accomplish large projects in our community we either need to go through our local government or go through outside support providing outside agencies local dollars that belong here, I do not agree with the latter.

In general if our community was going to stay the way it is, there would be no need of change. But staying the way it is now is not what I see or hear is going to happen. I hear thoughts of an Adult/Child Day Care Center; need for a Community Center; a Public Transportation System; expansion of Camp Kimtu; an arena for Concerts and Auto Demolition Derbys; and even the thought of bringing outside businesses to our area through local individuals or outsiders wanting to invest.

There are unlimited ideas, plans on the shelve that were not followed through with, and I am sure there will be future plans, but the main theme that we all need to do is get involved and promote the completion of an agreed upon plan. That is what I believe and strongly support this thesis in the future.

Oh yes, the future is just around the corner and folks need to decide on who or whom they are going to vote for. In making a choice I need to point out that the Klamath Trinity Area, as I call the surrounding country, is always going to be my home. I do intend to go to China at the first window of opportunity available (This depends largely on if I get a job or not within the next few months. No job I go in February/April, job I go at the first break and return sooner than originally planned.).

So if you do vote for me understand that I may be gone a month (depending on employer) if I get a job; but without a job I may stay a month to 3 months, maybe longer depending on China. Up front I want to thank those who have shared their good wishes in this short campaign and also appreciate the solid advice I have received regarding my future plan for China. But as we all know, sometimes we need to do what is right in our hearts, and going to China is in my heart at this time.

So, if you vote for me, understand I may be gone a short while, but will return, for this is where my heart will always be regarding the country and home, China is only temporary.
